Penny Wong Is An Incurable Bigot (But Bob Ellis Is Cool).

Bob Ellis is cool and with mental flexibility. From elsewhere:

Penny is just so annoying. She is just such a bigot. There is no other word for it. It seems that whitey males like myself have been preached to about our supposed bigotry for years. So we either have to be quits with the bigotry, be out and proud about it, hide it, or pretend its still there so as not to be wrong-footed by leftist projection.

But when you get a gay woman of Chinese extraction, where is the pressure for her to deal with her abhorrent bigotry? Its just not there. And Penny’s incredible bigotry is so exacerbating. You can imagine punching the male climate bigots on the shoulder. Or wearing your steelcaps around the whole time. You know the ones that look like sneakers. So if you meet a male climate bigot, you can plant a nice acute little bruise on their shin, and deny it relentlessly. SO FAST. Not even the cameras can capture it. And even if he takes a picture and its this small little thing, as excrutiatingly painful as it would be, if he complained about it he’d just look like a sissy.

No such pleasant thoughts can be entertained when thinking about the incurable bigot Penny Wong. This may be the reason why I find her so disturbing. She really isn’t fit for any sort of large job with those inbuilt blinkers.

An extraordinary thing happened on this ABC TV program. Both Bob Ellis and Penny of course think this CO2 thing is a real problem as opposed to marvelous dumb luck. So Bob gave Penny, right there on live TV, the solution to this make-believe problem. And it consisted of diverting one river, into another, so that the populated areas would have access to a great deal more fresh water.

Hence they would be able to presumably reclaim more land and invest mammoth amounts of carbon in that land, in terms of plant growth and soil enrichment. Here I’m extrapolating on just a few words that Bob said. But of course Bob was right, given his scientific error in the first place. But the bigot Penny was unmoved. Totally unmoved. Such was her repulsive and incurable bigotry.

We really have to stop tolerating people in the public sector who cannot do the job. And I’m not just talking about the elected reps which we can do very little about. But public servants more generally. Its the old Greshams law, in one of its many permutations. If we tolerate the Ken Henry’s in Treasury. The Gruens in Finance. Any of these dummies in any public sector job at all, we are driving out, and blocking people who can do the job. And if perchance a competent fellow slipped through. If Kates or Gerry Jackson somehow made it into Treasury, Finance, or other good people found their way to near the top of other departments….. Then the ubiquity of idiots who cannot do the job, would prevent the good people from being productive, or from even being seen to be competent.

Responses

  1. Penny is just so annoying. She is just such a bigot.

This from a loudmouth who routinely chastises ‘wops’ and ‘gooks’.

  2. Right. Fucking gooks who refuse to learn economics when thats the business they are in.

And the less can be said about that traitor-wop, the better. What a grubby fairweather friend of liberty. Turns out he’s a bank communist like yourself.

  3. Astonishingly good vocals from one of the cast, in the show “It Aint Half Hot Mum”

This is the better audio. But its worth watching them perform it live.

  4. If your running for God, Obama’s got that slot. Until a 308 boat tail meets him.

Disclaimer: Since all federal employees are required not to have a sense of humor or irony, the above comment is not threat against the president, his family, his pets, his plants, or any entity that servers the president. Including his slaves, um, taxpayers.

  5. If you can get a clean shot at the fellow without hitting any third parties it might be better to take it. Since after all he has to be suspected as a usurper.

You ought to try and avoid calling Barry Soetoro “the President.” His eligibility has been questioned these past 18 months and in all that time not a great deal has emerged to suggest he’s eligible. Except for a couple of statements by a single Hawaiian who while perhaps in a position to know, not really someone who might be considered a constitutional expert.

    • I could live with some third party damage, just don’t hit Biden. He’d be the first president to replace the teleprompter with a snare drum. He’d make a great stand up president.

  6. Every time I see Gillard, Wong or Rudd giving a TV announcement they appear to be robots. No emotion, no sensitivity, at least Obama looks alive. But Wong she is so ….. I don’t think she knows how to present herself to the public. Is she gay? I know Bob Brown is? But do they think that they because of their chosen sexuality relates to everyone’s world view also? Green energy???? Personally, being non PC some of the
gay people I have met, seemed to be one eyed in their world view, can’t be altruistic so to speak, or creative if you get my gist? LOL!!!

They appear extremists. Like Penny couldn’t understand why the people who are generating electricity in Ballina from Sugar cane refuse, are not given any rebates and are losing out to solar rebates, threatening their ability to survive? So closed minded eh?

And I am not a coalition voter but I am a Independent voter. I don’t think the next election will be won by the coalition, I don’t like Malcolm Turnbull however, given Tony Abbott’s budgie huggers or whatever, I reckon he could swing a few more female votes, LOL. His climate change coalition alternative is weak and useless.
He could have made inroads with that if he had thought about it more politically.

But Penny Wrong I think might lose her seat and then also Peter Garrett and go back to his singing.
And I don’t think Malcolm Turnbull will lose his seat either. Probably because a lot of his wealthier constituents have invested in CCT’s on his advice and if ETS taxes aren’t approved then they will lose a lot, a lot of money invested? But Rudd ain’t popular in Qld. Funny eh if he lost his seat too., like John Howard.

    We’ll see eh?

  7. Robots or the old non-battery wind up toys. You can almost see the big key on their backs. And if the camera held still long enough you’d see a fellow from the UN jump out from behind the bushes and wind the big key up to get them started again.

    • Exactly graemebird! You say it more better than me. They are pricks basically, and supposed to be representing the best interests of their countrymen.

We should have T-Shirts printed, and I tried to get someone to do it. “Cut CO2
      emissions’ – Stop breathing!

      • Bush Bunny sweetheart. I know you are an older lady. I read how you had a hip replacement right? Please grace my blog with your presence as much as possible. Don’t let anyone else discourage you blogging at my place.

My blog is usually one of the more rugged places within the wider internet. And if people are insulting you, be patient with me, and I’ll figure out whether any wiping of posts needs to go on.

So don’t worry about it, if all of a sudden, you catch a mountain of abuse.

I’ll always come back to the blog eventually, and make sure that any abuse towards you, is not a forever thing.

  8. ‘Much better’ sorry about the grammar? LOL

  9. “I don’t think she knows how to present herself to the public. Is she gay? I know Bob Brown is? But do they think that they because of their chosen sexuality relates to everyone’s world view also?”

See the thing about Bob though. Is he’s definitely a good and decent man. And even if he’s a …. well you know …… ( a sissy) Well the thing is, he sometimes has the ability to think for himself. And also, I cannot come up with the evidence up front, but Bob from memories of memories I once had. The original source memories not being fully retained…….

…. Bob does in fact appear to be STAUNCHLY COMMITTED TO HIS CONSTITUENTS.

So I’ll just ask people to forget, or put aside the leftist mental handicap that Bob carries. I’ll just ask people to go easy on his …. should we say …. sexual ambivalence.

I believe he’s a good man. I believe he’s a righteous man. And I think that in taking into account my other prejudice: that he’s often a bit of a bleeding nuisance … well thats democracy.

Now in the hard-drive between me ears, I have the memory of Bob sticking up for people, who the rest of us ought to have stood up for, but somehow it wasn’t on our radar.

Bob’s ok. He’s a good man. A dedicated politician. In that he’s dedicated to his voters. Rudd and Wong so far show no sign of empathy with the people who pay their bills.

As long as these leftists would be honest we could come to a “region of loose understanding” with them.

BOB IS CURSED WITH THE HONEST STREAK.

For me Bobs starting point is pure loony-tunes. He is after all a lefty. But he’s got an honest streak.

And I’d rather be dealing with Bob then a triangulating whig, at least 5 days out of 7.

  10. Bob Ellis and Bob Brown may be crazed leftists. But they are not the same as the rest of those goose-steppers. Because they cannot shake the streak of honesty, nor can they be quits with the human touch.

  11. “I could live with some third party damage, just don’t hit Biden. He’d be the first president to replace the teleprompter with a snare drum. He’d make a great stand up president.”

I couldn’t. No way. Those beautiful girls are not part of this. And Michelle does deserve being shot through her comely thigh for her extraordinary parasitism. But she definitely does not deserve more than that. Or a plot that could conceivably put her at serious risk at more than that.

You may see me as being inconsistent. Perhaps waxing and waning between serious talk and the truth.

Well thats probably the case. But you don’t break two legs when you might plausibly get away with breaking one. You don’t inflict brain damage when house arrest will do.

You don’t shoot to kill when shooting to wound will do the job. You don’t shoot at all when talking might resolve the matter.

Booby-trapping Barry’s big toe, and blowing it off, and then turning yourself into local and state authorities, supposing you can trust them, could be more effective then killing him.

Always you go on the fact that you do not know about the blowback from your actions. So you must minimize the damage.

But Obama appears to be a traitor and a communist. Even in this extreme case if you could shoot him in the leg from two kilometres out and get away with it, that might be something.

  12. I must confess to actually having been a fan of Biden at one stage.

I think there has been a downhill trajectory since he bullied the investigation to only deal with Clintons sexual mucking about. When the real problem was that BILL CLINTON WAS A FULLBLOWN TRAITOR.

Biden was a big part of this diversion. And his act has slid since then in my view.

Still even after that he did have a creative flare. And it was sometimes pretty good to watch him coming out with a totally new angle.

But one surmises that those days are over. And that some sort of early onset dementia may be closing in.

Tell me Michael. What ever happened to Gary Hart? I’m not the most efficiently functioning blogger in the world. Sometimes I get the sads thinking if only Gary Hart had won.

Then the only Clintons we would even have so much as HEARD ABOUT would have been DEWITT CLINTON ……

    And also.

    GEORGE CLINTON.

Thats right. George Clinton. Of funkadelic fame.

But back in those days your man Biden truly did seem like a bundle of ideas. I’ll give you that.

    But MOST-OF-ALL …….. I just can’t find the funk.

    I said:

    MOST-OF-ALL …….. I just can’t find the funk.

  13. Hey Bush Baby?

You know how these half-smart people insist that Ringo Starr wasn’t a good drummer?

These people say these things and I pull up youtube and it appears to me that he was pretty rock-solid:

  14. We couldn’t wait for graduation Day oh oh oh
We took my car and drove to San Jose oh oh oh
That’s where you told me that you’d wear my ring
I guess you don’t remember anything

Bush baby, Bush Baby give me your hand (give me your hand)
Give me somethin’ that I can remember (give me something to remember)
Just like before we can walk by the shore in the moonlight

  15. I guess if you’re so irrational to seriously think Obama is a communist then it’s understandable you’d think economics is a science based on pure, timeless, abstract objective laws, such as supply and demand. But it shows you don’t understand essential things about science or economics to believe either of these things. Even your idealised alternative PM doesn’t think economics is a science. Abbott said so in the weekend Oz.

And really, statements made on your own blog about endorsing or encouraging killing or maiming the US president and members of his family is really beyond the pale and beneath you Birdy.

You should delete those comments now – including those from the inciting JC/BirdLab sockpuppet before they do any harm including to yourself or be taken the wrong way by others, something you would always regret.

  16. And really, statements made on your own blog about endorsing or encouraging killing or maiming the US president and members of his family is really beyond the pale and beneath you Birdy.

That’s right Birdy, totally beyond the pale. Who knows where it’ll end? Calling for Obama to be shot today; cheering the jihadist murder of over a dozen innocent non-combatants tomorrow. Right, Phil?

  17. Plenty of people in repectable forums (such as The Guardian and on US blogs, such as AlterNet) forward the same arguments as I did about Hassan without endorsing the actions which of course I don’t.

I’m anti-war, but in war – including the US’s War on Terror – terror occurs and people get killed on and by both sides. It behoves us to understand beyond religious or national or ethnic vilification and stereotyping why acts of terror or slaughter occur. This is what I did.

  18. But you do endorse Hasan’s actions, Phil. You said they were a “triumph”. And no, your arguments about Hasan were rubbish; no respectable person would make them. You tried to argue that his victims, who were non-combatants, deserved to be slaughtered – I comprehensively took you apart, on your own terms. Now, for those who have short memories, here is what Phil actually said while the bodies were still warm:

An umistakable and glorious challenge, a globally hailed and celebrated declaration of the triumph of the human spirit, even from within the dark belly of the beast.

Few things are more inspiring than this, ever.

Malik Nidal Hasan. May you live in our memory and be honoured by billions and future generations forever.

  19. The two of you. I have such high regard for you. I asked you not to fight. Try harder. Michael. He’s not the President. Not as far as I know.

I want to segway way-away. I watched this song. I still love this girl after all these years.

    Do you blame me?

  20. That was a quote. But not my quote. Or rather I wrote it to illustrate, provocatively, admittedly, how Hasan’s actions would have been seen by many. Understandably.

If you want to be literal minded that is your problem. You should read more literature.

  21. It was precisely your quote. You wrote it, and later spent hours arguing that the murder of 13 non-combatants was just and morally defensible. Now you have the gall to chastise Bird’s assassination talk. I don’t know about others, but I wouldn’t be showing my face if I had that kind of record.

  22. Keynes showed that demand is regulated, partly by the fiscal policy of governments – which presupposes an symbiotic relationship between the state and the corporation, funny about that, eh) – and by devices such as advertising.

And Galbraith showed that the corporation has pretty near total control over prices and control of demand. The law of supply and demand is hoey.

    • But it isn’t. Fiscal policy may affect GDP. But fiscal policy cannot affect “DEMAND” properly considered. Except by sheer serendipity.

Keynes fucked up. From a theory point of view Keynes was a total failure.

  23. Yes it was my work. A literary device. As I said you need to hit the classics.

  24. You think Sophocles or Shakespeare *were* the murderous, venal, enraged creatures they invoked?

  25. Michael. She’s a lady. She’s not getting down on one knee and apologize for every ethical fault in her just war analogy.

You know as well as I do that WHEN WE ARE AT WAR…….

The enemy is allowed to be

    smarter

    more ruthless

    more stealthy

    less ethical

    more motivated

    more strategically adept……

    then our guys.

They are ALLOWED to be all these things. There is but one thing that is not allowed of the enemy.

THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED TO WIN.

You know yourself, what I think Philomena is getting at. She would have said what she said when she thought you guys were stupid and she probably thinks you guys are stupid.

You call it terrorism, but then where do all your definitions go?

If I’m being technical I have to allow that this man is a soldier. A soldier for allah.

So lets call him a soldier.

How long has this war been going on?

Me and you have talked about this.

The only good war is a short war.

When I talked about this matter at Catallaxy the first thing I said, because I knew nothing about it was “What did you expect”

And if I was talking to the leadership about it I would have said “Well what did you expect”

And when I was a little exacerbated by Philomena and I asked her about it she talked reasonably and in the end she said

“Well you said so yourself. After all. What would you expect”

And if I talked to you about it, and we talked for a long time, we would of course get angry and the bigshots in Washington and say “What the fuck did they expect”

But you know all this. I go to the Heritage Foundation and they are always talking about THE LONG WAR.

    Can we make wars short?

Supposing there is just the three of us?

Can we vote on that? To make our wars short.

Its breaking my hart that Rudd is basically degrading the troops. When Kim would have brought them home.

Don’t expect the same exactitude on the spot from Philomena as we might haggle out with paper and pens in front of us. She was there for provocation. And some of the tired people at Catallaxy needed it.

And I don’t expect you to try and force her into a backdown….

WHEN YOU ARE ALL FRIENDS AROUND HERE.

    Now fucking appreciate Tracey.

    Thats a fucking order.

    I don’t ask much and I don’t ask often.

And you go easy on Michael and CL Too Philomena.

    Just take it easy alright.

  26. Delete the comments Birdy. I ask for your sake more than anything.

  27. I’ll get around to it. But he’s a fake. And I’m not advocating killing him if you can shoot him in the leg. And I’m certainly not advocating anything that could hurt any third party.

You’ve got to think what it means for some communist to see to it that they have spent 221 billion more then they have taken in in taxes IN THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY ALONE. There is no question but that the usurper is carrying out a plan, to destroy the great Republic. Me and Mike might think leftists are dumb but they are not that dumb.

“It was precisely your quote. You wrote it, and later spent hours arguing that the murder of 13 non-combatants was just and morally defensible. Now you have the gall to chastise Bird’s assassination talk. I don’t know about others, but I wouldn’t be showing my face if I had that kind of record.”

As hurtful as it is to say TECHNICALLY THEY WERE NOT NON-COMBATANTS. And so in her aggressive way she was making a valid point.

Now stop trying to fucking force a lady into a fucking backdown. Its just unbecoming. If you were a little bit more patient and kinder you would find there was more common ground on this story.

Don’t try and fucking back her against the wall like this.

    Most of all.

Why am I not getting feedback about Tracey.

I would have thought that all three of us would be totally in love with Tracey.

    I know I’m besotted.

    I’m lost.

  28. I’m really pissed off you know.

I want some recognition of Tracey from the one of you and then the other before you make a whole bunch of other posts.

    Michael.

Can you not admit to me that Tracey is such a sweetheart? Such a heartbreaker?

  29. The two of you must admit it to me. Your love for Tracey is almost as strong as my own. You just don’t know it yet.

You will know it after watching this version:

  30. She sounds like Minnie Mouse on helium. But then Madonna was popular too back in the day.

Hey each to their own Birdy.

  31. Forgive them oh Tracey. They know not what they say.

  32. TRACEY ULLMAN IS WHERE THE FAMOUS SIMPSONS CARTOON SHOW STARTED.

The cartoon show started as a short interlude on the TRACEY ULLMAN SHOW. In the general show Tracey would play maybe a dozen characters. It was an immensely impressive show for a young British women working in the US.

It really was quite incredible in that you knew she was working this hard to play maybe a dozen comic characters in every show. And later with the proto-Simpsoms as a draw-card.

Well anyway every night she would say to her American employees……….

    “Go on go home”

Like go home and have a good time. But the implication was she was working her tits off and her employees were so dedicated to her it was hard yakka to get them to go home.

And then her theme song would come on. And her by then, probably in her early thirties, mucking about, and dancing like a teenager.

It was a very clever show.

I just wonder what she is up to now.

Sinclair you taunt me mercilessly. But in my younger days I went to Caesars Palace. Fourteen rounds. I won the heavyweight championship of the world.

And this I did FOR THE FIFTH REPUBLIC.

Did you copy it before you wiped it?

    Why not?

Why did you tell them I showed up in the first place.

Are you going to fucking show up in front of the Senate AGAIN

    And imply

    AGAIN.

That the Keynesian multiplier is A REAL THING.

    You’ve been told Sinclair.

Sort your act out or eat shit and die.

  34. Don’t delete it, Graeme. You must reject the shameful double standards foisted on you by hateful leftists. This is no principled opposition to murder; they just don’t want one of their guys being targeted for once. The Left love murder, endorse it at every opportunity, and cheer whenever a murder is committed. It’s the only thing that gets them up in the morning: the allure of killing people. Don’t let them get away with this. Leave the comment up until they apologise for murdering 100 million people.

  35. Wow. Michael Fisk is one overwrought hysterical dude ain’t he. I bet in real life he is about as tall as fence-post and with as suave and charming as a parking meter.

  36. “one of their guys”.

Right. Yeah the left loves Obama.

But only if you stupidly confuse the Democrats with the left. Which of course they ain’t. That’s been the big switcheroo in US politics oh for at least a century as anyone who reads literature or history knows. Even the Democrats know this.

But nuance is beyond our conservative bovver boys from provincial downtown Catalepsy. Impotent wankers one and all.

  37. Imagine fronting up at work on a Monday morning to the likes of happy-clappy Michael Fisk. Frothing at the mouth at all and sundry about corpses and “The Left” and starving millions of bankers all the while he is bleeding dry some poor sucker who is supplying him and his business with skilled labour that he, natch, seeks to underpay and exploit to the hilt. A man who like his mentor Family First Senator Fielding is dumber than and with the mental flexibility, sensibility and insight of a physically challenged earthworm.

    • He’s not like that Philomena. I just cannot get you two to be patient with eachother.

  38. Stop arguing you two.

Obama hates the liberty of the nation whose liberty he is sworn to defend against ALL ENEMIES FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC.

He’s running rampant outside of the law. I’m not tolerant of anyone who would risk his girls, as I said.

If they can get a clean shot, at least to wound, at the usurper, they ought take it.

Its bigger than some sort of leftist game to ruin everything and destroy civilisation.

You run a campaign to destroy Chile and you know that this same campaign is getting assistance from Cubans and Soviets then you are not exempt.

Its not OK and its not funny.

If your name is MARK and your last name starts with B. Don’t drive the car. Don’ encourage them. Don’t give them money. Don’t assist some long skinny country with a mountainous background to have some endless civil war.

The conservatives are not perfect. Some of the people we hire will not even be moral. And some of their gang won’t be nice.

Don’t return emails to this crowd. If you see them on the street, walk the other way.

Because when the killing starts it won’t stop until we are satisfied that normalcy can be returened. But IT WILL STOP within a couple of months.

Our aim is to return things to normalcy. There is no way to judge people of moderate culpability. Mark drives the car he’s dead. Along with anyone who emailed him. Along with anyone who gave him money.

Because we don’t want to string any killings out.

Don’t drive the car. Don’t give them money. Don’t talk to them.

Because its not funny anymore. And Soetoro destroying our most important ally is not funny anymore.

  39. “If they can get a clean shot, at least to wound, at the usurper, they ought take it.

You sound like Pinochet. But then he was the original “libertarian” right?

  40. And thus do you conclusively demonstrate that right-wing free market fundamentalism of Mises and Hayek and other superseded tosses is nothing but a front for terrorism and assassination.

    You made your bed.

    Now lie in it.

  41. “Because when the killing starts it won’t stop until we are satisfied that normalcy can be returened.”

Spoken like a true fascist and totalitarian, boot in the face of innocents psychopathic thug. Like a good “libertarian” Catallaxy-style.

  42. Its not about that Philomena.

Soetoro shows up in one of the few non-violent countries in Africa and purposely kicked off sectarian violence.

Now I love all you leftist girls. But you are not doing that stuff here. So I’ll snatch the money out of your hand. I’ll put a knife in your tyre. I’ll scare seven shades of shit out of your intercoluters. I’ll personally pick you up and take you out of harms way on a flat-bed truck.

But I don’t care about your petty leftist morals. Because you will not help any third party destroy this country, and the people in it, and their sovereignty, as part of some Larvados Prodeo, fashionable left-wing game. You will see people die before that could ever happen. Because we already know the plot and we already know the end of the story.

Its not a cool left-wing game to destroy a civilisation.

Now this country is healthy. The rest of us would not raise a fist in anger. The leadership is useless but for the most part within the law.

So there is no question of any nasty stuff here.

But America is different. In America the usurper and his coterie operate ruthlessly outside the law. Worst of all they have fielded a number of totalitarian takeover attempts.

There is no comparison between the two countries.

  43. Phil’s only objection to Pinochet is that he didn’t kill enough people. Killing 3,000 political opponents is a crime. But killing 3 million is progress. Staving 30 million to death is utopia. That’s how these people think, Birdy. For them, success is measured in mass graves, not “clean shots”.

  44. Spoken like a true fascist and totalitarian, boot in the face of innocents psychopathic thug.

Here’s Phil on the mass-murdering totalitarian Nidal Hasan:

An umistakable and glorious challenge, a globally hailed and celebrated declaration of the triumph of the human spirit, even from within the dark belly of the beast.

Few things are more inspiring than this, ever.

Malik Nidal Hasan. May you live in our memory and be honoured by billions and future generations forever.

According to Phil, “few things are more inspiring” than brutally cutting short the lives of young, beautiful, caring women in uniform.

  45. Michael Fisk is really an idiot’s idiot isn’t he. One can only ponder in awe and horror what forms of mental and physical abuse and deprivation would produce a Michael Fisk and his mindless, stupid, grotesque thought processes and beliefs about his fellow human beings.

  46. Hey hey hey. Don’t bring up that Nidal thing.

She’s my friend. I’m trying to reach her. And you are muckraking.

Now Philomena. I can see why he’s got you angry. But he’s not an idiot. He’s a very smart man. You be kind to eachother. And maybe you’ll stop talking PAST eachother.

  47. Few things are more inspiring than this, ever.

    – Phil, standing by her man, Nidal Hasan.

Now excuse me, Birdy, I have to get back to business.

  48. Look lets face it. If violence breaks out I’ll be dead very quickly. I’ll be just concerned about my girls. So if I’m not dead I’ll be in the South Island. In North Queensland. Trying to save silver coins I would suppose.

But the Prodeo crowd must not delude themselves that everyone is going to sit back and let them destroy everything just for the fun of it. We must have seen several dozen countries go down this way and with malice afforethought.

There is a science to this sort of takedown.

  49. Few things are more inspiring than standing up against your oppressors. Oh yes. Absolutely true. Always. From Spartacus to today.

The young beautiful women of whom you speak (but care not a fig for) were in all ways essentially the very same people who humiliated and tortured Arab men in Abu Ghraib and elsewhere. As they were mentally prepared and trained and incited to do.

David Hick’s memoirs are going to be very instructive.

    • That is going too far Philomena. That comment has to have a limited shelf-life.

  50. I beat him in every argument. But then he’s a bro so you defend him to save face. I understand.

  51. You ought to have made up with her Michael. I don’t ask much and I don’t ask often.

  52. Ugh. What an ugly, boring, meaningless, banal song.

Telling isn’t it that “libertarian” men like crap music if they are conscious of music at all which they don’t seem to be.

Another way in which they fail and of course why they are so angry.

  53. Well yes I can see it is ugly repetitive and boring. But you know. Why can we not be friends?

I don’t just mean you and me. But all of our brothers and sisters more generally?

  54. If I wanted to choose a song for other reasons I would have done so.

  55. Remember this one I chose for you one time? I quite like this fellows vocals.

  56. Oh well, I did try to warn you.

Your choice to endanger your family.

  57. Thats cold sweetheart. That I would never choose to do.

  58. Then delete your violent comments

  59. Cartoons are for moronic males. Women don’t watch cartoons.

  60. or read them.

  61. The young beautiful women of whom you speak (but care not a fig for) were in all ways essentially the very same people who humiliated and tortured Arab men in Abu Ghraib and elsewhere.

There you go again! Advocating murder at first, and then slandering the dead at last. And I do like that little aside about my not “caring” for the dead, which is rich coming from someone who would piss on their graves if she had the chance.

Now on more pressing matters, would you care to say precisely WHICH of Hasan’s victims were involved in Abu Ghraib? Of course, the answer is none, so why did you say they were “essentially the very same people”? That is a vicious, cowardly slander and I hope you never have the misfortune of meeting any of their grieving family members. If I were them, I would kick you in the face without a moment’s hesitation if I knew what you had written about one of my sons or daughters. And you’d deserve it, too.

The fact is none of Hasan’s victims have been shown to have committed any crimes in a theatre of war, so to endorse their murder is to endorse the slaughter of innocent non-combatants. Your methodology is thus identical to that of other murderous collectivists, such as Nazis and Communists, who argued that whole classes of people should be considered guilty entirely on account of their identity rather than their deeds. Lenin said so explicitly, and Hitler acted on this basis as well. So you are in fine company there.

It’s amazing: despite having been given numerous opportunities to renounce murderous violence, you never miss an opportunity to remind the world that you are a vicious, totalitarian scumbag.

  62. Any sane person knows that to defend overwhelming massive state violence carried out by the rich, powerful and well armed against poor vulnerable people, above all women and children by a rapacious Western imperialism in strategically important or resource rich countries such as Cambodia, Vietnam and Iraq is simply indefensible.

And to say you would like to “kick in the face” those who oppose such state sanctioned atrocity and terror follows logically from such a bankrupt and evil world view.

You don’t even realise how fucked up you are. But most of the world does, and that is your problem not to mention your eternal shame.

I don’t know why you are bringing this up – I was against those wars, so they’re irrelevant to whatever point you are trying to make.

And to say you would like to “kick in the face” those who oppose such state sanctioned atrocity and terror follows logically from such a bankrupt and evil world view.

I don’t advocate kicking you in the face for your anti-war views, but rather for your pro-war views. You have supported the execution of innocent non-combatants, which is a belligerent, warmongering position. If I were a family member of the deceased I would happily render your face even uglier than it is. And you would deserve it too.

  64. What a transparent hypocrite is hideous old Michael Fisk.

He clearly revels in murder, assassination, torture and genocidal extermination of people who don’t have white skin.

And he seeks to wreak violence on or “kick in the face” the vast majority of people in this country, America, Europe and the rest of the world ,who clearly oppose the ongoing US led slaughter in Iraq and Afghanistan and elsewhere. All in the name of capitalist profit and exploitation of the most vulnerable women and children in the world. All in the name of defending market fundamentalism and failed, discredited tossers such as Hayek and Mises.

Shame on you. You’re a fascist.

  65. “If I were a family member of the deceased I would happily render your face even uglier than it is. And you would deserve it too.”

As is obvious. And by saying so you clearly demonstrate you are an insane criminal and murderous thug, just like those criminal thugs, torturers and murderers you defend in the US and British military, some of whom thankfully are now in prison and forever disgraced in the eyes of civilised humanity.

  66. He clearly revels in murder, assassination, torture and genocidal extermination of people who don’t have white skin.

Ha ha ha! For reasons that I am under no obligation to divulge, that is the funniest thing you’ve ever written. Keep it up, Phil! That trusty ‘dar of yours is working a treat.

And he seeks to wreak violence on or “kick in the face” the vast majority of people in this country, America, Europe and the rest of the world ,who clearly oppose the ongoing US led slaughter in Iraq and Afghanistan and elsewhere.

No, I support the anti-war movement, and disagreed strongly with Bird over the Iraq War. But in a strange way, I also find myself arraigned against the likes of you, who, despite how they like to brand themselves, are actually PRO-WAR.

It just goes to show how debauched and distorted the “anti-war” cause has become when advocates of mass murder and genocide such as Phil can pass themselves off as “antiwar” with scant opposition.

  67. So your Chinese or Vietnamese.

    I already knew that.

    It is obvious.

  68. You’re a fool Michael Fisk and ill educated. Sorry (not) you were on the wrong side of history. You and your brutal ilk lost. And a good thing too. You’re position in the Asian wars is a minority one today internationally. Your side got their arse whipped though not before trashing those countries for generations to come.

How you can live with yourself defending that god knows. It explains why you are so fucked in the head.

We won. You lost. Deal with it you craven lickspittle exploiter and imperialist toady.

  69. And by the way the most culturally and ethnically self hating people I have ever met in my life are Chinese. They are a dime a dozen. Very sad.

  70. As Napoleon once said, never interrupt an opponent when he is making a mistake!

    Enjoying this, Bird? I am!

  71. So I smoked you out.

    I rest my case.

  72. I’m not at liberty to reveal personal details about Michael that bring some irony into some of the things that Philomena has been saying.

Why can’t you people be nice to eachother?

Anyway I’m changing the subject. Coming up is a very fast summary about what we would need to do to reform health care.

  73. From elsewhere. The definitive answer for reforming health care very quickly and effectively:

To bring health care costs down you want to have medical expenses paid from savings as much as possible. You may want medical services non-taxable and particularly retained earnings. So that medical services firms can invest to bring costs down. Quality control must be the responsibility of the firm alone.

Perhaps it may have to be regulated in to some extent. In terms of the firm being held responsible. But it ought not be regulated in via mandatory qualifications for a great many employees. This is not the way to bring costs down. Hopefully that last sentence comes across as understatement of a very severe type.

In this country we have superannuation funds and we have the potential for a sort of HECS system on debts. We could close down government agencies by the bushel, take the 15% surcharge off Super and allow peoples super funds to be used for medical expenses. We could have a HECS in place for people who cannot pay up front. We want to lift the tax free threshold.

All of the above would be enough for younger people who were not terminally ill. So thats the solution right there. The older guys and the terminally sick would likely need to be looked after under a different system if they were pretty poor.

Policies to provide a glut of high-rise and to reform money are not a separate issue from bringing medical services costs lower. A holistic approach to all policy is needed. Reforms to medical services would be far more effective for example, if parallel reforms were being carried out at the same time in the provision of educational services. The exact same reforms could be made.
    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

All our budgets start to look healthier if health care costs are falling every quarter.

In every other way, with exceptions already mentioned, we want to get rid of all subsidies. Subsidies mean the destruction of any viable industry with the ability to continually bring prices down.

Subsidies are anti-economic. In this one case they will be necessary for many older Australians, for the time being. But you need current revenues being poured into reducing recurring costs to bring costs down.

You don’t get that by subsidising current production. Subsidising current production leads to resources being poured into current production, not into reducing recurring costs.

We see this principle in action everywhere with our Prime Minister who has a sort of anti-Midas touch. Everything he touches turns bad. So we saw it with insulation, with cost blow-outs in school buildings and so forth.

Borrowing money doesn’t bring new resources into being. So this deficit spending in a time of monetary expansion would always lead to cost blowouts.

Worst of all would be the disaster of a lunatic like Kevin Rudd being let loose on our medical system. There is no gaudy failure too gruesome to contemplate, but that this moron cannot put it into effect. It could be worse than Gallipoli.

  74. life in Stern Hu’s cell

    http://www.smh.com.au/business/revealed-life-inside-stern-hus-cell-20100321-qo3m.html

  75. Incredible Graeme, someone advocating violence to settle social differences and ideology. Where have I heard that one before – oh yes Adolf said it ‘The Jews did it” Exterminate, exterminate.

This Malik Hasan killed 13 people and wounded 30
more. Seems he was being harassed by his colleagues for being a Muslim… but he then was communicating with Al Quaeda or trying too.

Not a good combination when in the US Military I feel. I maybe wrong Philomena, but in our developed countries, if a military personnel is found communicating with the enemy, and it does
    happen, they get court marshaled.

From what I have learned, Al Quaeda has stated they want to destroy the infidels and the Jews.
That’s a threat after 9/11 that we can not forgive.

Look there are some bigots, and arse’oles in the military, they are not picked for their compassion for the enemy. But to defend their countrymen.

I think Hasan was caught in the middle, and seems he was not handling isolation and harassment from his buddies. But he was trying to get out of the Army …. well he got his wish now.

Violence never did any cause any good. Unless it
is in response to defending one’s self or family.
I think the Iraqi war was unwise, but I thought the 9/11 attack was the starters. and that was awfully UNWISE. Like the bombing of Pearl Harbour, and the Japanese fleet commander said something, “We have woken a sleeping giant!”

  76. Bush Bunny, Al Quaeda was created by the US government under Ronald Reagan as a Cold War cat’s paw in Afghanistan aimed at bringing down the Soviet Union by drawing it into its very own Vietnam War with all the intended effects of that on the stability of the USSR. The tactic was successful.

However, the genie thus created and unleashed grew into something unintended by the US and turned on its former master with all the dire consequences we see today throughout the world.

  77. I don’t argue with that! Sal. The Americans have
a lot to answer to and for. So the Russians were
    wrong too?

A plague on both their houses I suspect. And that
goes for Israel and Palestine too.

If they can’t trade with one another, they fight
each other over religion or social conventions,
    like Pakistan and India.

Terrible place we live in, eh?

  78. sten hu pleads guilty graeme.

odds of a fair trial? zilch

    http://www.smh.com.au/business/stern-hu-pleads-guilty-to-bribery-charge-lawyer-20100322-qqre.html

    • We should have got him back earlier. We showed ourselves to be feeble in the face of hostage-taking.

  79. Bush bunny, it would be good to know more about Major Hisan and what was going on with him but the way things work in this glorious new open world in the good ol USA we’ll probably hear nothing more substantive until or if he ever comes to trial in either a military or civilian jurisdiction. And that could be years away.

While not endorsing his actions, my heart did go out to him in the light of reports of his obvious distress about being sent to Afghanistan when he was apparently very psychologically affected by the accounts he had heard in his professional capacity as a psychiatrist from US military personnel returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. And combined with that, the negative impact on him of lack of support he received from those in the US military in a position to assist or care for him professionally under the evident circumstances.

The horror he came to feel at the US wars and their impact on both sides must have been massively intensified given that he is of the Muslim faith and his parents Palestinians who had emigrated to America from the West Bank.

  80. Unfortunately Philomena, the bottom line is he murdered people and injured 30 more.

And that will be always the main focus. If he was
emotionally and mentally disturbed at the time makes no difference.

But being a practicing Muslim would have done him
    no good what so ever.

  81. Well it does make a difference in fact Bush bunny, even at the level of the law.

Western law is replete with leeway/sentencing allowance even exemption from criminal prosecution given to people who have killed others, including mothers post birth, plus a range of people in diverse circumstances shown to be suffering from psychological disorders or illnesses.

One must hope that Nidal Hasan will be offered nothing less than the humanitarian protection before the law afforded in different but similar circumstances.

  82. One cannot have people who are relentless liars like Birdlab or Cambria commenting on any site at all.

In such a sensitive matter both of these irresponsible goons have characterised what I said as an active call for the assassination of a President.

    Here it is again:

“f you can get a clean shot at the fellow without hitting any third parties it might be better to take it. Since after all he has to be suspected as a usurper.

You ought to try and avoid calling Barry Soetoro “the President.” His eligibility has been questioned these past 18 months and in all that time not a great deal has emerged to suggest he’s eligible. Except for a couple of statements by a single Hawaiian who while perhaps in a position to know, not really someone who might be considered a constitutional expert.”

This is why we must suspect Birdlab and Cambria to be the same person. Or cut from the same cloth. Pushing me onto various search engines by lying about what I said like the irresponsible filth that they are.

  83. Graeme, you may not have meant it and I don’t believe you did, but really it did read like that which is why I asked you to delete it.

I’m a proof-reader extraordinaire. I know how things read, even inadvertently.

  84. Well I meant it but the situation is pretty unrealistic isn’t it? I mean how could you get a clear shot, preferably to wound, without risking third parties?

Plus the whole thing was said as if he just wandered into the your crosshairs when you happened to be out hunting. Plus the idea of inciting people to actually pre-meditate such a thing would amount to getting them to risk their own lives and get themselves killed.

I know its not much of a reach to say it how birdlab and Cambria said it. Its only about another 5% to push it over the line, this one time.

Whereas usually these two bullshit outright. But you would think on such a sensitive matter with Poindexters deep data-mining in action the guys would show a little bit of restraint.

There is very little chance that it won’t turn up across someones desk now. One hopes they are patriots and can figure that I’m serious about there being no chance of collateral damage. That its not a realistic scenario I was talking about in the first place. And that its predicated on the very serious matter that this fellow refused point blank to verify his eligibility to any reasonable level of satisfaction. Preferring to fake two documents rather then to release unredacted real documents.

  85. Moderated post from elsewhere:

Not everything that environmentalists inform us about is wrong, wicked and inaccurate. Its just that some of the vital stuff is being crowded out by the rubbish. Whereas higher CO2 levels are extremely good and not bad, the looming and severe problems predicted to do with fresh water …. these warnings do appear to be real and really very serious.

In this light it might be good if the public were to understand more about water transpiration, and why higher CO2 levels are salvation (yes salvation) in the light of such problems. So just as a start check out these definitions:

“Transpiration: the water that evaporates out of stomata when they are open. This pulls more water and nutrients up to the top of the plant, but causes the plant to lose water and potentially dehydrate.”

“Water Use Efficiency (WUE): How good the plant is at bringing in carbon dioxide for photosynthesis without losing much water out of its stomata. More specifically, it is the ratio of carbon dioxide intake to water lost through transpiration.”

You see under conditions of less available water but higher CO2 levels the plants do not need to have their stomata open as much to get at their required CO2. For this reason they do not lose as much water whilst gaining this CO2.

Perhaps you are feeling wealthy and think that no matter how expensive food gets you will always be able to cope. This is not necessarily the case for everyone and may not be the case as the fresh water crisis starts to hit home.

Notice in the recent landline linked by Ray our Wheat farmers have been able to increase yields even in some places where there has been less rainfall. Of course we must give them the credit for their excellent work. But at least some of the credit ought to be ascribed to higher CO2 levels. Both stimulating growth in itself, but also allowing the plants to thrive on lesser water availability.

  86. See this. Even if there is a chance that THR is right I suspect he is still lying as usual:

“Incidentally, the coup against Allende was not instigated by Congress or the courts, though this was the ostensible reason. The coup was actually orchestrated by the CIA in 1970, and Kissinger himself has admitted as much.”

He has no evidence for this. It was the killing of General Schneider that was the stupid CIA crime. Not the coup of Allende that was all legal and according to the Constitution, carried out by the correct authorities and so forth. Some of the killings after that may or may not have been legal and thats a more controversial matter to do with quickly winning a civil war.

But the killing of General Scheider appears to be more typical and stupid CIA behaviour on the surface of things.

This must be what THR is conflating, if he is not just bullshitting as usual.

  87. Hi Philomena, you sound a very compassionate person, and I am sure Hasan will be given a fair trial.

Although I feel it won’t be a civil trial, it will be a military trial, and that is one big difference.

He could have resigned his commission for starters. His superior officers as I believe he consulted should have noticed his obvious distress. Something triggered his distress and brain storm. And if he was given the cold shoulder by his comrades, that could be for his defense to prove. The Army will handle it their way, and I’m sure they will try to come out looking good.

But I don’t know what the sentence will be, but didn’t another army person kill people in Iraq too.
    He was a Muslim too.

Post natal infant murder for a child under 12 months is or was accepted in UK due to hormone imbalances and this caused some mental defects at the time.

And if under Muslim law, particularly in Saudi Arabia Hasan would not be afforded any defense council, and would be beheaded.

  88. Graeme who moderated that post?

The writer is spot on. I am studying my Diploma
for organic agriculture having received my Cert IV in Organic agriculture last year. Mind you I don’t own a farm anymore if you can call 100 acres a farm! Hobby farm perhaps.

What the poster is referring to is conservation farming or sustainability. The worst methodology
is deep ploughing. It buggers up the microbiology
and soils without humus or compost or organic matter lack microbiology. Microbiology helps plants to absorb nutrients as well as conserve the water content in the soils. (Should be 45% minerals, 25% water, 5% organic matter, 25% air, 0.01% living organisms.

And farmers are beginning to wake up to this.
Well you get the old style farmer who shoves 200 head of cattle onto 1,000 acres and leaves them
eat the paddocks out, without replacing nutrients for the pastures to benefit from. No soil tests, just throw on super phosphate and of course its like they have to keep adding super phosphate that is a band aid for fertility. Then there is hope
that what rain, snow or whatever they receive
    will be retained longer.

You might notice in your garden on a hot day
some of your plants will begin to wilt, like rhubarb, pumpkin or large leaved plants. It’s because they can’t transpire but will recover in the evening when it cools.

And of course manure is one of the best fertilizers out. So all this bull about cattle and sheep burping and farting methane into the air
and taxing farmers is ridiculous. The manure helps keep the soils healthy in return.

  89. Its just a post that I tried to get on ABC Unleashed. Because I write so many posts that get moderated, then a lot of them get wiped. So I just dump a copy on my own blog. Just so I don’t have to write the same thing over. Like if I check and it didn’t get approved I always have the option of reposting. This is just one of the bad habits I have. Dumping copies of all my moderated posts on my own blog.

  90. Smart move. Did you go to James Hansen yes
he has visited Australia belching out not only CO2
but recommending Australia doesn’t export our coal
turn vegetarian, (what about our Uranium)

And he was here to promote nuclear energy as renewables won’t work?

Hasn’t anyone dared to comment that nuclear ain’t a renewable either!

  91. If we ever actually got nuclear on the fly, these guys would block it again. Hansen is such a fraud that he needs to support nuclear now just to be able to claim he’s with the good guys.

  92. Hi Bush bunny.

Small-scale localised food production really makes sense on a lot of levels and with particular crops, e.g. vegetables. Though small farms of quadruple your current holding have been very difficult and in the long run unsustainable and environmentally destructive because except for a few places the physical conditions are simply not conducive to successful farming on such a scale over the long term.

Still, good on you for studying org farming. In what part of Oz is your slice of paradise?

  93. I mean in Australia.

  94. Philomena, I live in the New England region of
NSW and also this is part of the Northern Tablelands.
Armidale to be precise, but we are a very fertile area, and yes, I do belong to the Sustainable Living Association.

But I am against Rudds ETS plans, as the climate change science is very wrong. CO2 does not drive the climate, I learned this at UNE. For my BA (2005) so I’m a mature student.

Organic farming is really about soil science (and I have never been good at sums) and one of our
farmers had 33,000 acres? Most of my fellow students have 2 – 3 thousand acres, one is a manager of a farm. We do have a farmers markets twice a month in Armidale. However,
electricity is our life blood anywhere. As we get very cold here in Winter, can plunge to minus -15 degrees C. At night warms during the day.

Growing food ain’t easy. Even on a family sized
    plot… I tried it!

You see I encourage the wild birds, and they like my lettuces and silverbeet the buggers, although
they keep the insects at bay.

  95. New England, fabulous. Judith Wright was born there (Armidale) wasn’t she?

South of my days’ circle, part of my blood’s country,
rises that tableland, high delicate outline
of bony slopes wincing under the winter,
low trees, blue-leaved and olive, outcropping granite-
clean, lean, hungry country. The creek’s leaf-silenced,
willow choked, the slope a tangle of medlar and crabapple
    branching over and under, blotched with a green lichen;
and the old cottage lurches in for shelter.

O cold the black-frost night. The walls draw in to the warmth
and the old roof cracks its joints; the slung kettle
hisses a leak on the fire. Hardly to be believed that summer will turn up again some day in a wave of rambler-roses,
thrust it’s hot face in here to tell another yarn-
a story old Dan can spin into a blanket against the winter.
Seventy years of stories he clutches round his bones.
Seventy years are hived in him like old honey.

Droving that year, Charleville to the Hunter,
    nineteen-one it was, and the drought beginning;
sixty head left at the McIntyre, the mud round them
hardened like iron; and the yellow boy died
in the sulky ahead with the gear, but the horse went on,
stopped at Sandy Camp and waited in the evening.
It was the flies we seen first, swarming like bees.
Came to the Hunter, three hundred head of a thousand-
cruel to keep them alive – and the river was dust.

Or mustering up in the Bogongs in the autumn
when the blizzards came early. Brought them down; we
brought them down, what aren’t there yet. Or driving for Cobb’s on the run
up from Tamworth-Thunderbolt at the top of Hungry Hill,
and I give him a wink. I wouldn’t wait long, Fred,
not if I was you. The troopers are just behind,
coming for that job at the Hillgrove. He went like a luny, him on his big black horse.

Oh, they slide and they vanish
as he shuffles the years like a pack of conjuror’s cards.
True or not, it’s all the same; and the frost on the roof
cracks like a whip, and the back-log break into ash.
Wake, old man. This is winter, and the yarns are over.
    No-one is listening
    South of my days’ circle
I know it dark against the stars, the high lean country
full of old stories that still go walking in my sleep.

  96. Yes Judith was born in Armidale her father had a property here, I don’t know where though?

Interesting about Thunderbolt, I know a great nephew of his Barry Sinclair and the co author of the book “Thunderbolt – Scourge of the Ranges

Recently – a legislator has demanded the police
release documents that have been refused to prove that Fred Wordsworth Ward was actually not the one killed – it was his tatty uncle. Worth a look at the Website – he got away to California.

Even attended his ‘own’ funeral in disguise.

  97. Judith Wright as well as a full time poet was a full time environmental activist especially in the last few decades of her life. Veronica Brady, a Catholic nun, academic and writer wrote a superb bio of her after her death about seven (?) years ago.

Wright’s own account of her childhood on her parents sheep farm in New England is called “The Generations of Men” pub. 1959. I haven’t read it just about it. You should check it out.

  98. “Fred Wordsworth Ward was actually not the one killed – it was his tatty uncle. Worth a look at the Website – he got away to California.

Even attended his ‘own’ funeral in disguise.”

    Wordworth! How gorgeous.

    And shades of Elvis Presley!

Oh what we have lost that we can’t so easily disappear and reinvent ourselves and pass compromising offspring off on to parents or siblings like our wanton forbears did so unthinkingly and readily.

  99. It’s a book I wrote a review on – I don’t whether you live in Australia, but the book costs only $AUD25.00 plus postage.

Talk about corruption of the cops in Victorian Oz,
no wonder we have the Republican movement here, although I do not support them at all, as we have moved on since then. But I reckon it molded the Aussie distrust of politicians and the law.

If you send your email addy through Graeme, or he can give you mine (not to be publicised please on any blog as I’m involved in politics) and if you are interested I will get a book arranged for you.

There is a musical being presented in Sydney and on Broadway this year. Not based on the book, but on Barry’s research. And I believe the
co author G.James Hamilton is arranging a film to be made from the book.

Fred ‘Captain Thunderbolt’ was a personality very much a Robin Hood character, very loved by the people of New England and Environs.

However, you can also get a lot of the info from Barry’s website. http://www.captainthunderbolt.com.au

  100. Sorry Graeme to get OT. Bit far from climate change scams and political intrigues, eh.

You can give Philomena my private email addy if you think it is OK.

  101. This is not a busy blog. Don’t worry about talking off topic.

  102. OK haven’t heard much from you on Jo’s blog recently?

  103. I’ve been there. Bush Bunny all of your comments are more than just a little bit OKAY.

I like it that you have been nice to my friend Philomena. I get a lot of lurkers here but not many commenters. Anything you want to talk about here is fine.

  104. Give Bush bunny my email Graeme. The J one not the R one please.

  105. No worries. I’ll do that sometime tomorrow.

  106. Somethings gone wrong. Anyway, Krudds abandoned his ETS bill until 2013 at least. Well
there you are? His ideas of global warming have
    gone up in smoke, eh?

  107. Thats great news. But really. The very threat of the ETS has to be lifted, before the sound investments can go ahead.

  108. What sound investments. Carbon trading is losing
value. Green energy is a unfounded clean energy.

Sustainability is another factor that should be
invested in, is that what you mean?

Even James Hansen now reckons clean energy
doesn’t work efficiently, and Australia should go
nuclear. But also be the first to install the ETS
bill, well that’s gone and pissing in the wind, eh?

Get back on Jo’s latest site. MattB is now
saying James Hansen didn’t approve of the ETS
bill while promoting his book in Oz, last month.

  109. Bunny Honey what I meant was more investment in Coal-to-electricity production. In carbon-solids-to synthetic diesel. That sort of thing.

MattB has a point this one time. Perhaps seeing that his movement may soon collapse, Hansen is making like he’s at least one of the good guys. Going after nuclear power, like he sincerely believes his own nonsense. And as well pointing out quite correctly that carbon tax is less bad then the cap and kill. Of course this movement is all nonsense so carbon tax is entirely unacceptable.
