A Near Death Experience Makes The Usurper Act Like A President For The Very First Time

From here on in Obama’s bizzare behavior will likely cease. Unfortunately for my reading audience, most of Obama’s bizzare behavior was pretty much filtered out by the Murdoch press. How poorly Murdoch let his legacy down by not highlighting the usurpers lack of eligibility to be President. And what does this say about Rupert? if he will refuse point blank to let even his rightist commentators discuss the matter?

Rupert it doesn’t matter what you have done in the past. It doesn’t matter that you were the most durable and gifted of Australian-Born businessmen. For toeing the line on this one you are a yellow-bellied gutless slimeball.

It may be that you think I’m trying to damn this weasel Barry Soetoro with faint praise. But he was simply fantastic in Delhi last night. The teleprompt reader in chief made a speech that ought to have been made many years ago. In fact it ought to have been made circa 2002.

Back before Japan and the US went into this endless Keynesian and banker-parasite debt spiral, how to get through the first half of the 21st century, without the mindless slaughter of the first half of the 20th century ….. was a pretty easy task. It consisted of India/Japan/USA getting together and being tight. Being unbelievably resolved. Just to make it through, contain China, and do so with deaths that measured only as high as the thousands and not in the millions. Spend anything you need to to pull this off. Cut out any unnecessary spending to stay solvent, and growing, and pull this task off. The most important task. Nothing more important.

And of course hopefully the rest of the English-Speaking World might help out with this gig. But the natural allies here, were India/Japan and the US …..

And this didn’t need to be a deal to destroy China. Or to hold back her more reasonable aspirations. And certainly it didn’t need to be any sort of situation where one would want to hold back the aspirations of the overachieving ethnic Chinese people. who seemed destined to carry on many of the great accomplishments of the formerly hegemonic Western civilisation.

Really it was simply a matter of waiting her out to about mid-century. Simply a matter of not letting China run amok before mid-century. Since Chinas workforce was set to be at its greatest number around 2020. Chinas total population was set to peak around 2040. And thereafter her population would collapse and age both at the same time, and would presumably be run by reasonable wise old men, and not by cultural revolution bully-boys.

Anyhow from now on Soetoro will be acting like the great statesman. And if he cannot quite do that he will be acting like a normal patriotic American President. With the emphasis on both normal and patriotic. No more sucking up to Islamic radicals. No more bowing to the Saudi Prince. None of that jive. He probably won’t be pushing too hard Islamic and hard leftist interests in any sense. Its just got to be normal normal normal, from here on in. As if the leadup to his election, the rest of his life, and his first 18 months or so on the job was all a bad dream that only tea party types had.

Because a whole bunch of people have been elected and these tea party types who have been elected are just one degree of separation away from constituents and associates, that KNOW he is a fake that KNOW he was not born in Hawaii, and that KNOW he ought to be taken away in shackles.

  1. Another superb day for Barry Soetoro. Yesterday it was Delhi. Now his tone, what he said, and to whom ……. absolutely great stuff. This time in Jakarta.

Its as if he’s knitting Jakarta, India, the US and Australia together. Its just a night and day difference before and after the election. Its as if the intrigue of “A Man Called Thursday” has lifted and Obama has stepped into a non-conspirational world of Time Magazine and he’s working to rational foreign policy strategy.

  2. Look at this. Hat tip Currency Lad:

“10. “…one of the things that I think is important for people to remember is that, you know, this country doesn’t just agree with The New York Times editorial page.”

    9. “We have a long tradition in this country of a desire for limited government, the suspicion of the federal government, of a concern that government spends too much money. You know? I mean, that’s as American as apple pie. And although, you know, there’s a new label to this, I mean those sentiments are ones that a lot of people support and give voice to. Including a lot of Democrats.”

    8. “I think the Republicans were able to paint my governing philosophy as a classic, traditional, big government liberal. And that’s not something that the American people want….I think the Republicans were successful in creating a picture of the Obama Administration as one that was contrary to those commonsense, Main Street values about the size of government. And so, it I think it is fair to say that, you know, the American people don’t want to see some massive expansion of government.”

    7. “I do get discouraged, I mean, there are times where you think, “Dog-gone-it you know, the job numbers aren’t movin’ as fast as I want.” And you know, I thought that the economy would have gotten better by now. You know, one of the things I think you understand — as president you’re held responsible for everything. But you don’t always have control of everything. Right? And especially an economy this big, there are limited tools to encourage the kind of job growth that we need.”

    6. “I think a lot of businesses still don’t know what the economy is doing. They don’t know, are consumers gonna start buyin’ again? You know, are we gonna start getting the virtuous cycle, where because businesses start hiring, the people who get hired start shoppin’, which means other businesses are hirin’, and everybody starts feelin’ better about the economy. There’s still a lotta uncertain data out there. And we’re still workin’ through some big problems of the economy.”

    5. “One of the things that we got in trouble with — and this is an example of, ‘are there some things you’d do differently’ — we made an estimation that unemployment would peak at eight percent when we were still at the beginning of the crisis… Well, it wasn’t because The Recovery Act didn’t work; it’s because the modeling, in terms of what to expect where unemployment would go to, turned out to be wrong. So, you know, I don’t wanna pretend like I’ve got a crystal ball.”

    4. “I don’t think I was naïve. I just think that these things are hard to do. You know, this is a big country.”

    3. “…there are more efficient ways to recirculate dollars out there and get people to spend. I mean unemployment insurance, most economists will tell you, is probably the single most important thing we can do to improve the economy.”

    2. “We still we’ve got a couple of trillion dollars worth of infrastructure improvements that need to be made around the country.”

1.“…when you’re campaigning, I think you’re liberated to say things without thinking about, “Okay, how am I gonna actually practically implement this.”

READ THE FULL TRANSCRIPT AT CBSNEWS.COM”

There is a direct change in intention here. Orders from above. Shadow government is running. Obama ordered to act like a centre-right version of Time Magazine. No conspirational fodder at all. No hidden leftist agendas. Just do the best job you could do if you were a patriot.

  3. Holy crap. Obama put in a very good word for TOM COBURN. You must understand. Tom Coburn is co-equal most righteous representative along with Ron Paul. Tom is the total opposite of Obama. He’s the most the most earnest, moral, rightist that you could ever imagine. The leadership of the Republican party hate him as much as they used to hate Ron Paul. But here is ex-Senator Obama reaching right across to his opposite.

He was a commie trying to ruin things and shooting for a tyranny. Now he’s abandoned that. He’ll play a male version of Sarah Palin for the next two years.

Its amazing. He had been like this as a Senator I would have liked him too.

This is shadow government laying low and trying to make anyone feel ashamed for ever thinking they existed at all.

  4. I’M JUST REPORTING THAT HIS BEHAVIOR HAS CHANGED TOTALLY SINCE THE ELECTION. ITS SO STRIKING THAT ONE MUST ALLEGE A CONSCIOUS CHANGE IN INTENTION AND STRATEGY FROM THE CONMAN.

  5. The grat deceiver comes in many forms, Mr Bird, so you must be especially alert when he comes as a ‘competent’ president. Competency doesn’t mean he ain’t bowing to Mecca 7 times a day. Competency don’t mean he ain’t banging and hanging queers.

More importantly, Sincfail has just put up this post, distorting Hayek, and all of economics:

One of the difficulties that Hayek faces as a theorist is the general perception that he favoured a return to the gold standard. It is easy to dismiss him as a crank on that basis. Of course, to do so would show some ignorance of his later work published by the Institute of Economic Affairs in the 1970s. Mark Skousen writes that Hayek views a gold standard as being politically desirable, but economically undesirable as early as 1937.

    http://catallaxyfiles.com/2010/11/10/the-gold-standard-again/

    Now, my questions are:
    1. Why does this ‘professor’ lie about St Friedrich?
    2. What would be an appropriate metal/liquid/silicon composite on which to base a stable, sound, non-Ponzi-backed currency? This, not global warming, and certainly not ‘relative poverty’, is the great question of our epoch.

  6. If the nutty professor wasn’t bad enough, we now have Terje (say ‘taxeater’) doing his impersonation of sound economics:

the world is a closed economy.

    http://catallaxyfiles.com/2010/11/10/the-gold-standard-again/comment-page-1/#comment-124610

No he’s lying. It’s not closed. It’s relentlessly open. The only speed humps on the idea are the walls erected by crony-capitalists, Cambrianists, and Islamabama socialists. Walls that starve children, and that stop you and me from getting rich. You would expect this from Terje. He’s got the first name of a Bond villain. He’s hung up on cronynomics.

    Terje, town down this wall!

  7. Bird, an article yuo might be interested in. It seems that one of my crowd has gone over to the side of good.

    http://www.wilmott.com/blogs/collector/index.cfm/2010/11/8/Not-only-gold-bugs-talk-about-gold-these-days

“The main problem is as I have pointed out long time ago fractional money, not Fiat itself. Fiat + fractional is fractional money on steroids. Today’s monetary system has very little to do with free markets. One of the corner stones in modern economic theory is that handful of people not are smarter than the market. But when it comes to the fundament of the economic system: money, then the price of money is only to a small degree set by the market. The price of money is to a large degree set by a handful of elected (or non elected) people. I do not doubt that central bank ministers try to do as well as they can under todays monetary system, and under their mandate (best for whom can naturally be discussed). The question is about the monetary system itself. “

  8. Another solid day for the usurper following the new strategy of pretending that shadow government is not there anymore and in fact was never there.

Soetoro went so far as to coin a very good new phrase to do with human freedom. Not heretofore one of his concerns.

President Obama: “Prosperity without freedom is just another form of poverty”

It must be understood that the tea party success has enforced this new strategy on the shadow government. What can they do? When they now have so many people in power who are not in denial as to their existence?

  9. Which Shadow government, Bird. You need to explain yourself better as it’s like you’re talking to yourself.

THE AMERICAN SHADOW GOVERNMENT BLOCKHEAD. I’VE BEEN OVER THIS MANY TIMES. YOU CANNOT EXPLAIN HOW THEY PULLED OFF 9/11 WITHOUT IT. TRY. I DID. COULDN’T DO IT.

  10. There’s a shadow government in the US? What the fuck are you talking about Bird.

LETS GO THROUGH IT VERY SLOWLY FOR THE DUMB WOP. WHO RIGGED UP THE 9/11 BUILDINGS (ALL THREE) FOR CONTROLLED DEMOLITION? COULD ANY FOREIGN INTELLIGENCE SERVICE HAVE GOTTEN AWAY WITH DOING THAT? AFTER DWELLING ON THAT ISSUE FOR A VERY LONG TIME, I DECIDED THAT THE RUSSIANS COULDN’T HAVE DONE IT. NOR THE MIDDLE EASTERNERS. ANY ONE OF THEM, NOR ANY COMBINATION OF THEM.

    DO YOU DISAGREE WITH THAT?

ERGO, IT WOULD HAVE HAD TO HAVE BEEN A SHADOW GOVERNMENT PROJECT.
THEN, SHOT IN THE DARK, STANDING OUT ON A LIMB, BEING AS IT HAD TO BE A US-SHADOW-GOVERNMENT PROJECT, IT FOLLOWS DIRECTLY THAT THE US MUST HAVE A SHADOW GOVERNMENT.

NOW WAS THAT GOING TOO FAST FOR A DUMB WOP?

  11. Mr Bird,

Is it any wonder that the ignorant Cambria, is denying the shadow government? It is exactly his kind who profit from human suffering who stand as the benficiaries off the machinations of this evil.

Everywhere and always can such lapdogs be found, to devour the scraps of human corpses their masters throw to them while forever denying there is anything untoward in their behaviour or the evil that enables them.

  12. Mr Bird,

The Usurper is exactly the right person to form a coalition of the coloured races to assist US containing the oriental threat. I would be somewhat more reticent in my endorsement of his words however. Deep down he remains the American Mugabe printing money and deeply comitted to his Kenyan-Marxist roots.

We may welcome the words but wary and mistrustful we must remain.

    • The last three days he’s been doing a fine job. Every day a new triumph. Now a committee to reduce the deficit has come out powerfully hard. There is something to being an incredibly good teleprompt reader when you and your team finally decide to do the right thing and stop trying to wreck matters.

  13. MAKE SOME SORT OF LOGICAL ARGUMENT DOOFUS.

  14. BTW – try this http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/military/news/1227842 for a start. See how it works now? I mount an argument and provide a reference to my source, rather than just calling people MORONS IN BLOCK CAPITALS BECAUSE YOU HAVE NO OTHER ARGUMENT TO MOUNT.

Before you argue that Popular Mechanics is also part of the conspiracy, consider that this is a commercial enterprise. Have all the people involved in the production of this been bought off / silenced? Or are you just clutching at straws in support of an untenable position?

    • I’ve read it. Its ridiculous. Don’t hide behind the link. Make the argument in your own words.

  15. Mr Skippy,

You blunder in here making wild assertions. “Cousin Achmed” is none other than the crony capitalist bankster and playground bully Joe Cambria and deserves every bit of Ad Hominem he receives. It will be a fraction of what he dishes out daily in lies and insults on the cesspool known as catallaxy.

Mr Bird is one of the finest thinkers on the web. He doesn’t seem to make argument by authority as you do by linking to other websites but by pure force of logic and science. If he uses capitals it is only to make the reading easier for those of you who have not progress your logical thinking skills past kindergarten level.

The website you link to is heavily comprised and yet more proof of shadow government operations. My dear fellow can’t you understand this. Do you think the shadow government operates only through official channels? These websites are not independent but merely report the shadow government line.

Now if you would like to make a reasoned argument, rather than link to a propaganda site, then please do as we are waiting for you to prove your case.

  16. “The buildings came down because the planes slammed into the two buildings.”

Cousin Achmed, can you count? There were how many planes, and how many buildings came down.

Yes that’s right 3 Buildings, 2 Planes but yet you insist that the third building just fell down in sympathy. These buildings are built to withstand fire Mr Cambria, even the ones with the planes shouldn’t have come down. You don’t need much intelligence to realise this is a clear set up, and the only party that makes sense is the shadow government.

  17. EXACTLY RIGHT. TWO PLANES. THREE BUILDINGS. MOLTEN IRON IN ALL THREE BASEMENTS. MULTIPLE EXPLOSIONS, TAPED, FILMED AND WITNESSED. THE PLANES WEREN’T PASSENGER PLANES ….. AND SO FORTH.

ANY CONSPIRACY THEORY MEANT TO EXPLAIN THIS MATTER MUST EXPLAIN ALL THE FACTS. YOU WOULD THINK EVEN A DUMB WOP COULD UNDERSTAND THIS. YOU CANNOT LEAVE ANY FACTS OUT.

  18. LOOK SKIPPY. THERE ARE HIGH STANDARDS ON THIS BLOG. I’LL TRY AGAIN. IF YOU THINK YOU HAVE A CASE MAKE A LOGICAL ARGUMENT, IN YOUR OWN WORDS. DON’T HIDE BEHIND A LINK.

THE PROBLEM WITH THE IRRATIONAL BELIEF THAT THE BUILDINGS CAME DOWN WITHOUT THE EXPLOSIONS, IS IT DOESN’T EXPLAIN THE EXPLOSIONS. NOW YOU ARE JUST GOING TO HAVE TO DO BETTER.

I CAN SEE YOU ARE THE PRODUCT OF TOO MANY VACCINES.

  19. Of course there are shadow governments. That’s old news for leftists.

Did you know all the ICACs or equivalent in state jurisdictions have police powers, i.e. undercover ops and all that entails including phone tapping, surveillance, property entry and confiscation, keyboard monitors that transfer everything that is typed to a monitoring system?

  20. Bird, I need your advice again.

Yesterday I was running around and it was damn hot. I’d been on a long walk in the bush in the middle of the day and then buzzed over to a library and borrowed a stack load of books and went back to my scooter and packed the books safely in the boot but absentmindedly left my leather purse perching on the rear of the seat while I took off back to work.

I didn’t know it was missing until I arrived home later on and found a note in the front door asking me to ring “Ian” who said he had my purse which I hadn’t even missed. WTF!

I rang him and he said he lived a few burbs away and if I didn’t need it till the morn, he’d drop it off at my work which was on his way to a fishing expedition. I gave him my work number and he duly rang and in return for my purse – which he’d found in the middle of the road – I gave him a gift, a book, an English comedic classic from the late 19th century that’s never been out of print: “Three Men in a Boat” by Jerome Jerome. It was a secondhand copy of a folio edition, exquisitely illustrated and bound and in perfect condition.

He didn’t want to accept it at first but when I said it was a book and I thought he’d enjoy it, he took it to look at it and while he didn’t know of it, he accepted and after more heartfelt thanks from moi, we said goodbye.

A couple of hours later I found a call from him on my work voicemail saying he felt bad having accepted this gift that he hadn’t expected I would reward him for returning my purse and suggesting that he would read the book and return it to me when he was finished, giving me his phone number again.

He asked me to ring him to discuss this “if it felt like it”.

    What should I do?

    • Right I have to start with the caveat that I’m entirely biased in this matter so my advise ought not be trusted. Its the dilemma that Rogers-Nelson finds himself in, when he says “How can I saw what’s right……” Back in a little while.

    • Its really odd isn’t it. Thinking about you. For one reason you have probably been unapproachable all your life. Being TOO tall, TOO intelligent TOO attractive. Then being ideological and conflicted. Then being in a relationship a very long time. And here you are finding a social situation somewhat uncomfortable. What needs to be remembered is that everyone in this story has acted very well and with the best motives.

But you see its all about paradigms in parallel. On one level its people acting the best and fairest way they can. On another level you have the potential for a perceived two-way come-on. Like a child in some ways, you were rightfully grateful at the relief of someone doing the right thing for a change. So you gave him a gift. Now you are thinking “did it look like a come-on”

He’s authentically thinking he ought to give you the book back and he’s right. But then that looks like a two-way come-on. Well thats great. Nothing wrong with that. But if thats not what you want then its important not to crush someone who is only doing the right thing.

With this sort of deal you are functioning in Kansas and Oz at the same time. You are alive in “A Man Called Thursday” and “Time Magazine” …. you are living in two different worlds at once.

People don’t have one motive at any one time for taking any one action. It is far more like the faders in the mixing studio ……

      ….. More later.

    • I was going to turn this into a PHD in psychology and comparative sociology, with multiple examples from my own life thrown in. But matters have prevailed against me. And being as I took so long to reply to you (sorry about that) I’ve pretty much got to do a few things, lay down some pretty specific instructions and thats about it.

Hang out. Got to do a few things. Back soon.

    • Right. His idea (in ‘The Man Called Thursday’ WORLD) is to return the authentically too-generous gift, and stage-manage the situation, such that he gets an even greater gift. Literally all a girl can give, in the old view of things.

Supposing you defy my strong psychic vibes, well the idea is to go with the flow of that, never acknowledge the stage management, and be good ‘in bed’ and so forth.

But should you decide to avoid this sort of fate, or embarrassing social fuckup, the idea is to take the too-generous-gift back, and give him a LESSER GIFT, and do all you can to make him feel good about himself. Such that the person who does the good deed is rewarded-in-Kansas, and good deeds spread out form Kansas to heal the wounded culture. But such an outcome requires you to take control of stage-management.

      More Later.

    • I believe its actively unethical in these boy-girl situations to totally crush a fellows ego as the reward for him doing the right thing. Care needs to be taken here. So this one time the girl takes control of stage-management. You offer to buy him drinks. Be as effusive and grateful as ever. Take your book back, admitting that you agree you would cherish the book more than he, reaffirm your renewed faith in human nature.

But when you call him to do it, show great enthusiasm, but mention a husband or two. You know. Dampen his hopes of being in the land of OZ, but do everything to make him feel good about himself and his exemplary behavior.

You say that “we girls are always accepting you drinks from you blokes. I’m so glad that you are going to give my beautiful book back. You are right. I love that book and I was getting “givers-remorse” so let me buy you a few drinks on a night of your choosing for a couple of hours. AND I’LL GET MY PARTNER TO PICK ME UP AT 9.00PM BUT I’LL TELL HIM ITS A GIRLS NIGHT OUT.

You see it would be crushing to think he’s wasting his time getting some absolute hottie juicy so that she will go home and treat that other man like Elvis right? But thats okay just so long as its your secret and his alone. Thats not running him down just as long as its a conspiracy not to let the alleged partner know.

But then again you are buying. You’ve reinforced this fellows faith in doing the right thing. You’ve got your book back. Had a good conversation one would hope. And successfully replaced the too-generous gift with an appropriate lesser-gift. Had a bit of an adventure. But held back some of your greater gifts, on the grounds that they are being held in at least partial reserve for the next time we get to talk off air.

  21. Ah… more typing of capitals. You can’t shout at me in person, so you shout metaphorically. Very impressive.

NO SILLY. THAT IS JUST TO SHOW THIRD PARTIES WHOSE DOING THE TALKING. YOU’LL GET USED TO THE RULES AROUND HERE. And yet another ad hominem attack, this time based on the totally discredited link between vaccines and autism

THE LINK IS NOT DISCREDITED YOU ARE LYING. RATHER THE LINK, FROM WHERE I SIT IS ALL BUT PROVEN. AND ITS LIKELY THAT IF I LOOKED INTO IT, I’D DISCOVER IT WAS PROVEN. THE LINK BETWEEN VACCINES AND AUTISM IF PARTICULARLY STRONG WHERE THE MERCURY IN VACCINES WAS CONCERNED. NOT NECESSARILY WITH VACCINES PROPER. BUT DEFINITELY WITH THE MERCURY THEY USED TO HAVE IN VACCINES.

THE KIDS WHO GOT THOSE VACCINES AND DIDN’T GET AUTISM, WERE FOUND TO HAVE A LOT OF MERCURY IN THEIR HAIR. THE KIDS WHO GOT THE VACCINES AND THEN DEVELOPED AUTISM ALMOST RIGHT AWAY, WERE FOUND TO HAVE ALMOST NO MERCURY IN THEIR HAIR. THE PROBLEM WAS THAT THE KIDS WHO WERE UNABLE TO EXCRETE THE MERCURY SUCCESSFULLY, FOR WHATEVER REASON, HAVE TO BE PRESUMED TO HAVE WOUND UP WITH MERCURY IN THEIR BRAIN, AND/OR NERVOUS SYSTEM. ERGO THEY NEED CHELATION THERAPY TO REMOVE IT. I’VE NOT LOOKED INTO THIS MATTER WITH DUE DILIGENCE BY ANY MEANS. BUT ALREADY I CAN BE PRETTY SURE OF MYSELF ON THIS SCORE AND AM IF ANYTHING EXPRESSING FAR TOO MUCH DOUBT IN THE GENERAL THRUST OF THE CASE.

There has never been a single piece of concrete evidence presented that there were controlled explosions in any of the WTC collapses.

WELL HOW DO YOU EXPLAIN THE EXPLOSIONS THEN? ANY THEORY THAT SAYS THE BUILDINGS MIGHT HAVE COME DOWN WITHOUT THE EXPLOSIONS STILL HAS TO EXPLAIN THE EXPLOSIONS. OR ELSE ITS A FAILED THEORY.

THE EXPLOSIONS ARE PROVEN BY CONVERGENT EVIDENCE. PROVEN 100% EXCEPT BY THE POSSIBILITY OF CONSPIRACY PARADIGM. AND IN THIS CONSPIRACY-PARADIGM, THE CONVERGENT EVIDENCE FOR THE EXPLOSIONS IS A WELL-FUNDED CONSPIRACY IN AND OF ITSELF. AND THIS WOULD RAISE MORE QUESTIONS. WHO COULD HAVE FUNDED AND CARRIED OUT THIS CONSPIRACY TO LEAVE CONVERGENT EVIDENCE FOR EXPLOSIONS ALL ABOUT THE PLACE?

WHEN WE GO TO RANK PARADIGMS IN PARALLEL WE HAVE TO RANK THAT CONVERGENT EVIDENCE FOR EXPLOSIONS ……… PLANTED VIA CONSPIRACY …. IN PRETTY LOWLY FASHION.

BUT ANYWAY THAT CONSPIRACY-THEORY ASIDE ….. AND ADMITTEDLY ITS POSSIBLE BUT MAKE NO MISTAKE, ITS A HUGE CONSPIRACY THAT PEOPLE ARE IMPLYING HERE …… THAT CONSPIRACY ASIDE …… THE FACT OF MULTIPLE EXPLOSIONS IS PROVED OUTRIGHT. ITS NOT CORRECT TO SAY ITS PROVED 99%. WHAT NEEDS TO BE EMPHASISED IS ITS PROVEN OUTRIGHT BY CONVERGENT EVIDENCE, BUT FOR THE IDEA OF THOSE PARADIGMS THAT COULD ACCOMODATE THE CONVERGENT EVIDENCE BEING PLANTED OR OTHERWISE MANUFACTURED BY HERDLIKE BEHAVIOR.

CONVERGENT EVIDENCE, WITH CAVEATS, IS PROOF PROPER.

IN THE CASE OF THE EXPLOSIONS, WE HAVE THE AUDIO. WE HAVE THE VIDEO. WE HAVE THE WITNESS TESTIMONY. WE HAVE WITNESS TESTIMONY BY PEOPLE WHO WERE HOSPITALISED BY THOSE EXPLOSIONS.

SO THERE WERE EXPLOSIONS. MULTIPLE EXPLOSIONS. AND I’M HAPPY TO ANALYSE ANY THEORY. SO LONG AS IT IS AN HONEST THEORY THAT ATTEMPTS WITH ALL DUE CONSCIENTIOUSNESS TO EXPLAIN THE EXPLOSIONS.

  22. Thanks for all that Birdie. You’ve very perceptive and always surprising. And you make me laugh. But then I knew all that.

The giving of gifts is a fascinating subject. Perhaps the original gift of significance historically was bride price which in itself was an enormously complex social and economic transaction.

I didn’t offer the book as a come-on. It was the futherest thing from my mind. But I can see now it may have been seen that way and I do see the reaction to it in that way. Though, as you say, motives are as mixed and numerous as sand.
And I think this (attractive, tall, man slightly younger than me) sincerely did want to view his good deed without being compromised as he possibly saw it in the end by me having “rewarded” him.

There is no way I wouldn’t have given him a gift, because gift giving is part of a culture I endorse, but perhaps the gift was perceived to be too generous (it wasn’t, the folio society edition while fabulously impressive cost $20 on Ebay).

But then gift giving is often an expression of power giving a message to oneself and others not altogether selfless and altruistic . But then the same goes for good deeds. We like to perceive ourselves in a good light. And both gift giving and good deeds can serve this purpose.

  23. It was a rushed job. I could have told you about when I was penniless in Richmond, but ridiculously confident (for a limited span) and was chatting up this tall blonde, but was backhanded back into my shy years, on account that she was the little drummers girl.

I felt like such a complete fool.

But anyhow, it turns out that my eldest nephew is a degenerate. I have high hopes for the other two.
